Cheesy Garlic Smashed Brussels Sprouts

INGREDIENTS

 

1 lb. Brussels sprouts

1 tbsp. Olive oil

3 cloves garlic, pressed or finely chopped

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp salt

1/8 tsp black pepper

1 Tbsp. balsamic or apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese or mozzarella cheese, shredded




INSTRUCTIONS



Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F if available, use convection or air fry mode to add extra crispiness.


In a large  pot place Brussel sprouts in enough water to fully cover and add salt. Boil for about 10 minutes, until soft and bright green, Drain the brussels sprouts and place in a glass baking dish.


Using a fork  press down on the brussels sprouts to flatten.  Drizzle with olive oil, vinegar, sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper,  then top with fresh garlic. Sprinkle cheese on top. Cook for approx. 20 minutes until crisp golden brown.
